If your child is absent from school, there are several ways in which you can advise the office if your child is absent for the whole day, late to school or leaving early.

• Send an email to absences@csc.school.nz

• Telephone 2367646 and leave an absence message 

• Send a message via the school app (SchoolappsNZ) 

• Via the school website (www.csc.school.nz/contact-us), in the top right-hand corner, there is a 'Report and absence' link. 

If we haven't heard from a parent or caregiver by 9.15 am and the student is marked absent from class, then we send a text and email to caregivers advising of the absence before 10 am and asking for confirmation. 

We ask that caregivers respond promptly so we can follow up on any unexplained absences to ensure student safety.

If students are arriving late or leaving early, please advise the office. If leaving early, a signed note from a caregiver is fine but texts are not accepted. All students arriving late or leaving early need to sign in/out at the office and we must hear from a caregiver before they leave the premises. Caregivers can always email appointments or changes to absences@csc.school.nz and these messages are regularly checked.
