Canterbury Schools have been given preliminary notice of a PPTA Teacher Strike on Tuesday 9 May, and a rostering home plan for year levels starting week 2 (starting Thursday 4 May).

The rostering home schedule is as follows:

• Week 2 - Thursday 4 May Year 11
• Week 3 - Tuesday 9 May Year 12, and Thursday 11 May Year 13
• Week 4 - Tuesday 16 May Year 9, and Wednesday 17 May Year 10
• Week 5 - Thursday 25 May Year 11
• Week 6 - Tuesday 30 May Year 13, and Thursday 1 June Year 12
• Week 7 - Tuesday 6 June Year 10, and Thursday 8 June Year 9

If these actions are to go ahead, the school will receive formal notification at least three days prior to the strike rostering home occurring. It has been indicated that confirmation will be received on 1 May for the rostering home and 3 May for the 9 May full day strike. We will confirm with our school whānau via email as soon as confirmation is received.

Information regarding the impact of rostering home on secondary schools sports competitions will be communicated as soon as it available.
