Today we received a formal notice from the PPTA Te Wehengarua of strike action going ahead on Monday, 15 September 2025.

Between the hours of 9am to 3:15pm teachers who are PPTA members will not teach, instruct or supervise students in Year 12 or Year 13.

We have not yet received formal notice of strike action for the rest of the week, but we will be able to confirm on Monday whether this will go ahead for the remainder of the week.

Timing of year levels affected – should strike action go ahead past Monday:
16 September 2025 - Year 11 
17 September 2025 - Year 10 
18 September 2025 - Year 9 

During regular school hours, we are able to offer supervision for a small number of students in affected year groups across the week. Please only contact the office on (admin@cghs.school.nz) if your daughter will be at school during her affected strike date. These students will need to report to the library on their affected day for supervision.

All students should use their time wisely at home to work on existing assignments and take this opportunity for revision.
