On Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th of November the Canterbury Junior Tennis Championships were held at Wilding Park.

Due to Year 10 camps our school only had one Year 10 player competing, but we also had five Year 9 players. Natalie Hetherington delayed her departure for camp to play, and then went on to win the Year 10 Singles Championship. She also combined with Year 9 player Emma Tanner to win the Year 10 Doubles Championship. This was the first time the two girls had played together! Well done Natalie and Emma.

Also playing, and getting valuable tournament experience, were Kate Galbraith, Bella Hansen-Ratter, Lily Bryant and Ruby Durragh. Thank you to Alice Ridgen, our Tennis Sports Leader, who supported the players on the Wednesday.
