The newly formed South Asian Dance group represented Christchurch Girls' High School /Te Kura o Hine Waiora at the annual Christchurch Multi-Cultural Festival during the school holidays.

Students in the South Asian Dance group had the opportunity to perform alongside some amazing cultural groups from a diverse range of cultures that make up the Christchurch community. 

The students choreographed their own dance featuring traditional South Asian Dance moves and practiced during term 2 for the festival. Our talented students performed in front of a packed audience on the night and were very well received and have already been invited to perform at another upcoming festival.
