Samoan Language Week - Talofa lavaIa Manuia le vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa

Samoa Language Week 2023 (Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa) theme is ‘Mitamita i lau gagana,maua’a lou fa’asinomaga’ that means ‘Be proud of your language and grounded in your identity’. 

We are celebrating Samoan language week from 28 May to 3 Jun 2023 in the library.

Our Samoan Prefects made an amazing display on Samoan language week in the library.  Samoan cultural elements are displayed nicely on the table. Students are enjoying Samoan culture and language books in the library. The positivity and diversity made the space welcoming and cultural.

Break times in the library

Students are coming to the library to enjoy their break times in a warm and happy space. They are spending their time with fellow friends and seniors in reading, writing, playing card games and jigsaw puzzles. Sometimes teachers are also enjoying spending their valuable time with the students. 

A huge thank you to all the student librarians who are helping us with library service, morning tea and lunch duty, you are such a wonderful group and make our lives easier with all the innovative thoughts in the library.
