South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Regatta
The girls shone through to win 2x gold, 2x silver and 2x bronze medals
The South Island Secondary Rowing Regatta was held from Friday 8th – Sunday 10th March. 55 girls travelled down to Twizel to compete. There was the usual tough competition from Rangi Ruru and St Margaret’s but the girls shone through to win 2x gold, 2x silver and 2x bronze medals. 30 girls will now travel to Lake Karapiro on Friday 22nd March to compete for the week at Maadi.
U16 Coxed 8 - GOLD

U17 Coxed 8 - BRONZE

There were many exciting races with two standing out:
- The U15 Double – Isla Heard and Emily Keenan
- The U17 Double – Manawa Greenwood and Lucianna Crawford
Although the girls in these races did not place in the top three, they had great races and improved on times and technique from the Saturday’s racing through to Sunday’s.
