On Saturday 29th October two rugby sevens teams travelled to Geraldine to play in the South Island Rugby Sevens tournament.

The U16 team played 6 pool games with overall placings being determined by a points system. They lost their first game but went on to win the remaining games which resulted in achieving second place. The team was captained by Maelle Rossignol who led by example throughout and there were some outstanding performances from our junior players.

The Senior team had convincing wins in their pool play games and semi-final to advance to the final where they met St Andrew's College. It was a close game with the lead alternating. We went into the final play a few points down but a try to Kelera Qalivutu gave the Senior team the win.The players had a great day playing sevens, supporting each other and catching up with friends in other school teams.
