Battle of Bibliophiles

Christchurch Girls' High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora teams will participate in the national reading competition “Battle of the Bibliophiles”on Friday 27 October 10.30am to 2.30pm in the library. 

Sayu Weerasinghe, Medha Baadkar, Matisse Foster, Poppy Archer, Isabella Botha and Ayana Cooke will be in Team A and Charlotte Bealing, Naishaa Ramwani and Manahil Malik will be Team B. The competition results will be posted during Week 4 and the judge’s decision will be final.

Library Committee Farewell

A big mihi to our librarians who have organised wonderful activities during their breaktimes.  Ngārita MacKenzie (Head librarian), Jasmine Glennie and Ceiarra Fernando (Deputy librarians) have shown their wonderful ideas throughout the year and conducted a successful leadership to our student librarians.

We have received a good number of expressions of interest from Year 12 librarians who want to contribute their service in the library leadership team next year. We have chosen the head librarian and deputy librarians for 2024.

Congratulations to Hannah Ahmed (Head librarian), Swali Ranjan, Meg Buckler and Irushi Kariyawasam Haputanthrige (Deputy librarians) who will lead the team next year. Along with them Fatima Siddiqui, Tayeeba Abro, Navia Gowda, Lara Murdoch, Munashe Imani Webeck, Annabel Diprose, Crystal Hartley, Angel Aulakh and Sayu Weerasinghe will be on the library committee 2024.
