Qualification: NCEA Level 2
Entry requirements: A minimum of 15 credits at NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics including at least Merit in 1.2 (91027 Algebra), 1.3 (91028: Tables and Graphs), or 1.6 (91031 Geometric Reasoning).
Content/Skills: This course has an algebraic approach to solving problems. Topics studied are Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Graphing, Sequences and Co-ordinate Geometry The emphasis of this course is on developing mathematical thinking. Concepts are related to real-life situations and contextual problems are used throughout the course.
