On the 13 and 14 of February, Lily Bryant, Olivia Helmore, Jessie Smith, Claudia Russell and Emma Tanner competed in the Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Tennis Championships.

Although some of the final matches were called off due to the weather, we all still had a good time competing for Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora. Everyone played really well throughout, with everyone having their share of winning and losing.

Congratulations to Lily Bryant who was our top Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora performing player, Lily made the semi finals in the Year 12/13 singles championship. Special mention again to Emma Tanner, Olivia Trolove, Jessie Smith and Claudia Russell for their strong efforts over those two days.

A huge thank you to Ms Rüder and Mrs Brown for not only helping with transport, but for also coming to support us throughout the day. And a thankyou to Mr Isaac for still finding time to come down in the morning to wish us luck before going back to school for his period one class.
