After the disappointing cancellation of the Cycle NZ schools national events, three of our cyclists have had success in the first round of the National Road Series.
In the Yunca Tour of Southland was Amye Kellow, Lola Bryson-Boe and Alice Barnes all competed. Amye finished 6th in the tough Under 19 category, with Lola and Alice both second in Under 17 and Under 15 grades respectively. Alice also won the climbers jersey in her grade. Well done to these cyclists.
Alice Barnes also competed in the second round of the National Road Series last weekend in the Manawatu. She was able to turn the tables on Millie Donald (the Yunca winner) and bring home the trophy and yellow jersey.
