Congratulations to two of our past students for the outstanding successes they have recently achieved as they study towards their MCom in Economics at the University of Canterbury.

Courtney Comley has been awarded the Guardian Trust Master’s Scholarship in Commerce which gives her $16500 per year of her studies. Courtney had previously won an award for being First in Microeconomics in her first year at UC. She is also CEO of the Investment Society, Vice President of QCanterbury and a member of the University Equity and Wellbeing Advisory Group.

Sarah Bates has just been appointed as Assistant Economist at the Commerce Commission. Sarah had previously won awards for being the Top First Year Economics student at UC and Top Second Year Economics student at UC. Sarah’s mum sent a message to acknowledge Economics teacher Wendy Price: “Thanks for inspiring and encouraging her career journey!! Teachers like you are worth your weight in gold!”
