Year 11 Learning Enhancement Westfield Mall Outing

In Year 11 learners completing standards offered only in Learning Enhancement, had a shopping trip to Westfield Riccarton. Each had a set of different activities where they had to engage with numeracy skills in a day-to-day context. They had to use skills such as working out percentages to get the best bargain and were given a budget of $10 with which they had to buy essential groceries.  

After walking to the mall in the rain Mrs. Gunstone and Mrs. Naughton had a well-deserved coffee at the pre-arranged meeting point. :-D. This outing contributed to 5 learning supported unit standards
