The CGHS Year 9 A netball team has had a beauty of a season!

They went to South Island Secondary School tournament which is contested from teams all over the South Island from both Years 9 and 10. They placed 2nd, winning every game until the final where they sadly lost against St Hilda’s Collegiate.

They did however win the Saturday competition, only losing one game in all! This team also won the Wednesday competition, unbeaten. They only lost two games over the entire season. Both their coach and teacher, Kate Weir and manager, Sandy Houston, did an amazing job. The team consisted of 10 players from Year 9. The team pushed and fought hard in every game, what a great season these girls played!
