This year I was very excited to re-introduce the dance committee as it had been four years, (since 2016), since the last dance committee at school.

Dance troupe this year was initially an auditioned group, which would attempt to compete in school competitions and even hold a dance show to showcase several pieces that were going to be put together. 

Due to lockdown this was not possible, so instead the dance troupe worked very hard to perform a great contemporary piece in our Royal Variety Show. 

At Girls' High School there is an immense amount of artistic and dance talent which deserves to be showcased, encouraged and embraced. I encourage any dancers to get involved in the hope that the dance committee is continued, as it is difficult to find an opportunity to dance at school, yet there is an extreme amount of talent to immerse yourself in and not only build your dance skills but become part of a team with the same interests and skills as you do!
