The Mavis Atkinson Competition for the painting of New Zealand flora and fauna is run annually by the Science Learning Area. This year's subject was the NZ Rata Metrosideros umbellata
The standard of entries for this year's competition was extremely high and showcases the outstanding talent of our CGHS students.
Congratulations to Kate Moloney 13 LWR who is this year’s winner. Kate will receive $150 and a certificate at Prizegiving and have her painting framed and displayed in the school alongside winning entries from previous years.
Congratulations also to Bella Martin 12 MDC and Mana Hiramoto 10 LNM who are both awarded Second Place. They will each receive a certificate and $50.
