This week CGHS has celebrated Samoan Language week.

The theme for Samoan Language week is 'Tapena sou ōso mo lau malaga' which in English means 'Prepare yourself a gift for your travels'.

This year's theme urges us to prepare for the journey ahead. It highlights the need to honour, respect and share the gifts of our life's journey.

Our staff and students have learnt common phrases, the Samoan alphabet, how to Siva Samoa, the days of the week and how to make ula lole (Lollie lei). It has been a great opportunity for our Samoan students to share a bit of their culture with the rest of the school.
