Qualification: NCEA Level 2 

Entry requirements:

NCEA Dance Level 1. Exceptions may be made only in consultation with the HOD Dance.

Ākonga will need appropriate dance attire and dance shoes for performance.

Content/Skills: The course is a combination of performance, choreography in groups, solo and analyzing dance performance

There may also be opportunities for workshops and external visits.

Field Trips: There will be opportunities to attend performances at the Isaac Theatre Royal to view Royal New Zealand ballet performances.

Course Costs: Workshop costs when applicable, plus theatre ticket costs.

Assessment:

3 Internal Achievement Standards worth 14 Credits

1 External Achievement Standard worth 4 Credits
