Qualification: NCEA Level 3

Entry requirements: At least Achievement in two Level 2 external assessments. Entry is at the discretion of the HOD Chemistry.

Please note, that you can choose either Chemistry, or Chemistry Extra at Year 13, but not both.

Content/Skills: The topics include: atomic structure, bonding and properties of substances, organic chemistry, spectroscopy, thermochemistry, and oxidation-reduction.

Field Trips: None.
