Recently four students had a go at the Orienteering Championships in Bottle Lake Forest.

They had to navigate a course they had never seen before, in a forest they didn't know, with a map and compass, and try and beat their fellow racers. The start was under water after Saturday's rain but orienteers don't mind wet feet. They all came back with successful times, stories to share and a lot more navigational skills. And then the sun finally came out!
