Thank you, we had an impressive response to our survey. This gives us some direction and good ideas.

Feedback indicated parents want more connection with the school and more opportunities to meet other parents! We agree and would like to offer more opportunities for this to happen. Watch this space.

Most parents would like the PTA to run a movie night, quiz night or market fete. We received a lot of comments, mainly positive, about the school formals. Parents would also like us to provide more shade areas, common room equipment, and lockers for the girls. Many parents would like the end of year Prize-giving to include the whole school again. Parents indicated the Year 9 Parent evenings format needs to be reviewed.

Some interesting suggestions were:

• Open the uniform shop after school, as well as on a Saturday.
• Provide a tie swap box.
• Coffee group and social evenings with interesting speakers
• Provide some pastoral care helping some girls get to open days or extra-curricular activities
• Hold Parent Interviews in the Gym with the PTA offering refreshments as a fundraiser
• Hold a combined parents/students sports event – parent’s pitched against the girls.
• Link with Boys High more.
• Bring in specialist coaches
• A cultural evening
• A barn dance.

We love these ideas, but to run them we’ll need help. We’ll be putting the call out in the future.
