Welcome to Spring! Happy Spring everyone!
From September to November, in Spring, Aotearoa New Zealand bursts with new life and
colours. The season is changing slowly from clear freezing nights to hot spring days. Colourful flowers bloom, lambs are born, and waterfalls flow. Daffodils and dandelions are tossing their heads to wave greetings.
Ka puāwai ngā kōwhai he tohu tēnā kua aroaromahana. (When the kōwhai is in flower it's a sign that it's spring). The fresh, happy atmosphere during spring makes Aotearoa, New Zealand an amazing and pleasant place.
Our amazing librarians made a Spring display to share warmth and colours in the library.
Mālō e lelei!! - Tongan books - The Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora librarians displayed a range of Tongan language books in the library. These reflect Tongan culture and diversities. We encourage students to come to the library and enjoy our precious resources.
