Global Relations Group Donates To Local Charity

Megan Kong —

Our Global Relations Group raised over $800 to donate to local charity, Christchurch Resettlement Services.

The Global relations group, led by international student Justine Kim, held an cultural non-uniform day in Term 3 to raise awareness of the current situation of international students stuck in NZ and to show them our support. The funds raised were donated to a local charity, Christchurch Resettlement Services, to help fund their inter cultural counselling services which is available to international students.

Christchurch Resettlement Services works to support people from Migrant and Refugee backgrounds to help them settle successfully in Otautahi/Christchurch. You can read more about the amazing work they do and the services and support they offer at www.crs.org.nz.

We are so proud of the resilience shown by our international students as they choose to stay in New Zealand and continue to study successfully, despite not being about to visit home over the last 2 years. They have showed courage and demonstrated our school value of Rangatiratanga.
