Piper was also awarded a place in the Step 7 team to represent Canterbury in the 2018 NZ National Gymnastics Championships.

In the weekend, Piper Renaud competed in the 2018 Canterbury Gymnastics Championship, and was named the 2018 Canterbury Champ for Step 7.

This was also the last qualifying competition for the Canterbury Gymnastics team selection. Piper will travel to Tauranga in October with the Step 7 team to represent Canterbury in the 2018 NZ National Gymnastics.
