Year 10 Social Studies classes ventured to the Antarctic Centre in Term 2.

The trip was to wrap up the "My Precious" topic which focuses on the Antarctic continent and on bigger questions about the protection of and the sustainable use of this unique marine environment. 

The girls had a lovely time on the trip and had meaningful experiences such as, guided tour with an Antarctic expert, patting huskies, learning about penguins, trying on all of the cold-weather gear necessary for Antarctic survival and riding in a Hagglund vehicle.
