Chinese Language Week
nǐ hǎo
New Zealand Chinese Language Week (NZCLW) is celebrated to promote Chinese language learning in New Zealand. NZCLW takes steps to connect the cultural and linguistic knowledge gap between China and New Zealand by promoting Chinese language skills to New Zealander. We are celebrating Chinese language week from 25 September to 1 October in the library. Our student librarians made an amazing display on Chinese Language week in our school library. Lanterns and posters are displayed around the library. Please come and grab books from the display.
Term 3 library event
A big shout out for the librarians who have managed to do wonderful activities during their break time. We have got an extraordinary library committee this year. We are hoping to get a wonderful library committee next year. If anyone from Year 11 and Year 12 librarian is interested, please mention your name to us (library@cghs.school.nz) and Casey Reid (Head Librarian).
We have distributed appreciation certificates and badges (White, Red, Blue) to them. They enjoyed their Term 2 shared lunch on Tuesday 27th September.
