Dance and Drama Showcase

Kaitlyn Tinworth —

On Tuesday 2 May, we had our first Dance and Drama showcase of the year.

The evening started full of laughter thanks to our fabulous TheatreSports group.  Our senior drama students then performed a variety of scenes from Oscar Wilde's, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Michelanne Forster's play Daughters of Heaven based on the murder committed by two Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora students in the 1950's.

There was also a dance performance by a group of Year 11 Dance students who choreographed their performance from a kowhaiwhai pattern.

Well done to all students who performed in the Dance and Drama Showcase, and thank you to all whānau and friends who came along to support our young people.
