Condor Sevens (secondary schools national tournament) took place once again this year after a year off due to COVID.

A hard month of intense training, late nights and early mornings and we were in Auckland last weekend to compete against the best teams in New Zealand after qualifying in November.

The team arrived in Auckland Friday morning and were fortunate to have Tall Fern Gabby Adams-Gavet come to talk to the team and present jerseys.

After a good first day the girls made the quarter finals and took on a tough Auckland Girls' Grammar side where we unfortunately took the loss. We then played a nail biting game against Howick College where we went down again in the final seconds. We finished the tournament in high spirits beating a respectable Hamilton Girls side comfortably and taking out 7th place.

Our girls enjoyed the experience and had fun and will be back and ready to go again next season. Our great team culture and amazing coaching and management team made the experience all the more enjoyable and leaves all us girls looking forward to next season!
