NCSS Challenge (National Computer Science School Challenge)
The NCSS challenge is a 5-week Programming challenge entered by students from across New Zealand and Australia. Students commit 2-3 hours a week to complete the challenge. This year 1000’s of entrants completed the challenge. A number of our students hit top place on the leader board as a result of their excellent efforts.
Since February 12, a number of our year 9-13 students have been taking part in a 5 week NCSS challenge held by Grok Academy. We have been learning how to code in Python, while also completing weekly challenges that have earned us points on The Challenge Leaderboard.
I have really enjoyed taking part in this competition and would encourage anyone wanting to learn more about coding to get involved in the future.
Although some of the tests were a bit tricky, it was a lot of fun.
