Volunteering as a Student Librarian has lots of positives.
Student Librarians have the responsibility of a duty time each week. They gain librarian and team skills, have the first read of new books (and some great morning teas).
Year 11-13 students can also be part of the Library Committee. This group of students plan events in the library including Book Week. They have the opportunity to lead a group of student librarians and to suggest new initiatives. A system of blue, red and white badges is awarded to acknowledge service given and skills gained.
