Year 11 Student-Led Ako Conferences
This year, Year 11 students have been working on their Graduate Profile in ako time.
This initiative aligns with our school's strategic focus on empowering our ākonga to assess their own progress, celebrate their learning and share their extra-curricular successes and achievements from both inside and outside school.
We want to celebrate the whole person that our students are developing into, not just the academic achievements and progress they are making. This work will continue over the course of their journey through the senior school and by the time they graduate, we hope they are able to reflect on all the contributions they have made to their school and community as well as celebrate their achievements in academia.
To celebrate their first steps in their Graduate Profile, we would like to invite parents/whānau of Year 11 students to meet with their child and their ako teacher in a student-led conference.
These conferences will take place throughout the course of the day on Monday 16 October 2023. We invite parents of Year 11 students to book a 15 minute conference time to meet with their child and their ako teacher on that day, using this link https://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/code/jnfrj.
The conferences will be held in the school library and the students will come out of class for the 15 minute meeting and then return to class afterwards.
If you have any questions about these conferences, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me on leg@cghs.school.nz.
