This year the CGHS Cycling team had smaller numbers, however, we still experienced a great season and fantastic results.

We started off the schools cycling season heading out to Tai Tapu every Wednesday, achieving some great Individual Time Trial, Bunch racing, and Team Time Trial results.

To end the term of racing, Lola Bryson-Boe raced at South Islands Schools Championships achieving 1st in the Time Trial and 2nd in the Road Race.

Term 3 came quickly around the corner and the girls were zipping up their skin suits again for a new term of great racing.

Alice Barnes travelled to Blenheim to compete in the Southern Tour. She achieved fantastic results over the 2 days, 4 stages of racing. Alice podiumed on two events and finished 3rd overall.

Soon after Alice’s great results, she travelled to Palmerston North to compete in National Schools Cycling Championships. Alice had an incredible Road Race finishing 3rd. She also competed in the Points Race finishing 10th overall.
