At the New Zealand Para Swimming Nationals last week, Gabriella Smith, Year 10, won the Under 16 200 Freestyle event.

In doing so she broke the New Zealand Under 16 Para S10 Record (S10 is Gabriella's classification, which is the level of disability). The record was previously held at a time of 2.32.18 minutes and Gabriella now holds it at a time of 2.27.82 minutes.
