Last night, the Ministry of Education hosted the 2022 Academic Awards Night for top NCEA academic achievers from ethnic backgrounds in Christchurch Secondary schools.

These awards are an opportunity to celebrate Ōtautahi’s growing diversity and acknowledge the academic successes of our rangatahi.

This celebration aims to strengthen the partnership that students, families, communities have with teachers, schools, local and central government.

We had two of our amazing students nominated, Emily Howden and Moinunnisa. Both students achieved highly at Level 2 as well as completing Level 3 subjects as Year 12 students. Well done to both of you for your success.
