Congratulations to all who made the CGHS Swimming Sports such a success yesterday at Wharenui Pool.

Just over fifty swimmers entered the competitive age group and open events. There were some very close races and it was great to see our top swimmers compete against each other, displaying great school spirit. No records were broken however, Hannah Abdou (Year 9) must be commended for winning all of her races including the two Open events.

The House relay at the conclusion of the event was tightly contested with Selwyn taking out the race, closely followed by Sheppard.

Thanks to all our student officials who took their roles and tasks most seriously!

CGHS will have a strong team competing at the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Championships on Thursday 26 March at Jellie Park pool.
