Biology - Te Mātauranga Koiora - Level 2 (BIO201 or BIO202)
Qualification: NCEA Level 2
Options - students can choose from either of these options:
BIO201 - an 18 credit course that includes 3 internal assessments and 2 external assessments
BIO202 - a 15 credit course that includes 3 internal assessments and 1 external assessment
Please note: both courses include the Temple Basin field trip.
Content/Skills: Medical Science, Field Ecology, Cellular Biology, Genetics and Evolution, Molecular Genetics (DNA structure and Gene Expression) , Animal (including Human) Biology, Applied Biology, Conservation, Vaccines and immunisation.
