Mountain Bike Success

Zoe Trolove —

In the final week of the recent holidays, Zoe Trolove travelled to Bluff for the NZSS Mountain Biking Championships.

Zoe had a fantastic week, placing 2nd in the U20 girls Enduro and Downhill events, and 4th place in the Cross Country. These results earnt her enough points to be the overall winner for the U20 girls' grade – National Champion!

Here is what Zoe had to say about her national's experience:

‘I had a great time down in Bluff. The enduro race was great and I came 2nd in the U20 girls after a couple of crashes and a broken brake lever. I managed to get through the downhill reasonably clean, with a small slip off in my race run but other than that it was a great race and I got 2nd U20 girls. In the cross country I got a flat on the first lap which slowed me down a lot because we had to fix it, but I managed to carry on and got 4th place U20 girls.

That put me in 1st overall U20 girls. All of the trails were super fun in Bluff and it was a great event that I really enjoyed.’

Well done, Zoe.
