At the end of Term 1, during the first school holidays, a few CGHS cycling students rode in the Forrest Graperide and the Age Group Road Cycling Nationals.

Olivia Kikstra, Amye Kellow and Georgia Kellow raced at the Vantage Age Group Road National Championships in Carterton.

• Amye Kellow had a fantastic weekend placing 3rd in her road race for U15 girls and is now the current National Time Trial Champion covering 15km in 25 minutes and 47 seconds in windy conditions.

• Georgia Kellow raced in the U19 road race over 73km to finish 27th overall.

• Olivia Kikstra placing sixth in her 15km time trial and seventh in the U17 road race finishing with the front group.

Meg Barnes raced in the 101km Forrest Graperide in Marlborough, winning her age group for 13 - 18 year old females in a respectable time of 3 hours and 14 seconds.
