On Sunday, 2nd August the CGHS Jazz Band performed at the Ara JazzQuest.

JazzQuest is a jazz competition between secondary schools. They performed 2 pieces called Chameleon and Out of the Dog House. They received a Bronze for their amazing performance, which is extremely well considering the major disruptions of COVID earlier in the year meaning they have only had a limited number of practices.

The girls meet every Friday morning at 7:30am with Vince Leahy. Big thanks to Vince for his hard work helping the Jazz Band prepare for the competition and conducting them on the day. All the girls thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience and are looking forward to next year’s Jazz Quest.
