On Tuesday the 14th June the annual Chamber Music Competition took place at ‘The Piano’. Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora was represented by the Prokofiev Sextet performing Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes.

Our students produced an excellent performance of what is a challenging work and I congratulate them for their skill and the tremendous effort that they put into rehearsals and the performance.

Members of the group were: Charlotte Cotton (Violin 1), Anna Gardiner (Violin 2), Heather Paget (Viola), Emelia Hinton (Cello), Estella Wallace (Clarinet) and Anna Smith (Piano).
