This was the seventh consecutive UC Cup win for CGHS - our school is the only name on this trophy! The final was well contested by Avonside Girls’ High School, who have shown steady improvement throughout the year, but they were no match for the skills and physicality of our girls. 

Led ably by Rhiannon Mehrtens and Naia Toaolamai-Holden, with some standout performances by Holly Wratt-Groeneweg, Jorja Miller and Mia Cochrane, our girls capped off their unbeaten season with an 81-5 victory at Rugby Park. Special credit must go (once again) to super-coach Jamie Livingston, assisted this year by Miss Angie Sisifa. 

Normally our girls would now be focussing on winning the South Island Final and attacking the Top Four Nationals, but in this year of Covid, Rugby 15's as now concluded and the focus now switches directly to Sevens and retaining our Condor Sevens National title.
