2021 has been a great year for Rolleston, I have loved to see all of the Rolleston students get involved in all of the activities this year.

We started the year off with a bang with athletics day where it was amazing to see so much blue surrounding the Nga Puna Wai grounds. I was amazed by the amount of effort and enthusiasm put in by all of the Rolleston students.

Throughout the year we had many smaller house events such as swimming sports, easter challenges and for the first time, we had an inter-house production. The inter-house production was a great success with Rolleston coming back with the win, it was great to see the senior students leading and directing the junior students in this production.

Our next big event of the year was Lip Sync, our theme for this year was a Kiwi Roadie which was a big success with so many students participating throughout all year groups. It was so great to see so many girls involved to perform this year especially since it is a new experience for both year 9 and year 10’s this year as it was unable to happen last year.

It has been an amazing experience to be a leader for the students of Rolleston this year. I have been amazed at the participation by all of the students this year and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I could not have done this without my deputy Kate and the rest of the house with all of their help. I hope the best for Rolleston next year!!
