On Wednesday 4 May, the Secondary Schools' Swimming Championships were held at Jellie Park pool, with different age groups scheduled throughout the day.

Due to Covid restrictions prior to the holidays, and the fact that many schools had not had their annual swimming sports, entry numbers were down on previous years. Plus, the Open events were only available for Under 16 and Senior age group swimmers.

Our school had thirteen keen swimmers competing. They represented our school with pride and gained some very pleasing results, of which they can be proud.

Results are as follows:

1st place:

• Charlotte Parmenter - Under 15 100m Freestyle
• Isabella Parmenter - Open 100m Breaststroke and Over 16 50m Breaststroke
• Hanna Abdou - Open 200m Individual Medley

2nd place:

• Natalie Sturt - Under 14 50m Breaststroke
• Ashlee Baars - Under 14 100m Freestyle
• Hanna Abdou - Under 16 50m Backstroke
• Natalie Sturt, Ashlee Baars, Keira Phelan, Issy Savage - Under 14 Freestyle Relay

3rd place:

• Hannah Abdou, Isabella Parmenter, Holly Smith, Chloe Graham - Open Freestyle Relay
