South Island Secondary Schools' Equestrian Championships 2023

During Week 7 of Term 3, from Monday 28th August to Thursday 31st August, two Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora teams competed at the South Island Secondary Schools’ Equestrian Championships event, held at the Dunstan Fiber Fresh National Equestrian Centre, McLeans Island.

There was a very competitive field of 34 teams. Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Red placed 1st in the CTR on Monday, then 1st in the Dressage combined over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Blue placed 4th in the Arena Event, and 3rd in the Showjumping and Showhunter on Wednesday and Thursday. 

Then to top off the Week Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Red placed1st overall and the Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Blue team placed 11th overall. 

A huge congratulations to all the amazing individual placings, with too many to list.
