Last Thursday (14 March), an exhilarating display of talent unfolded as our fellow students competed in our annual swimming sports event.

The atmosphere at Wharenui Sports Centre was electric as competitors attempted to beat some of the school’s long standing records. A special congratulations to the students of  Selwyn House, the overall highest-scoring house and to Selwyn for taking the win in the highly contested house relay. 

A huge thank you extends to all the volunteer students and teachers whose assistance ensured the smooth running of the event. With such a fantastic turnout, we look forward to another thrilling event next year!

With such impressive times achieved, we are excited to have a group representing our school at the upcoming Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championships. These champs will take place at Jellie Park on Thursday 4 April. 

Good luck to all those who will be representing Christchurch Girls’ High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora.
