On Sunday 31st October, two teams of wonderful junior actors participated in the Junior Theatresports competition organised by The Court Theatre.

The groups were coached throughout the year by Gwyn Walker (Year 13) and worked closely with other senior students in our Theatresports Club on Friday afternoons.

In the first heat, Lily Saunders, Charlotte Borocoskie, Lucy Dawson, Bethany Sutcliffe and Kate Bennett performed with confidence and enthusiasm, embracing all the challenges thrown at them to create some great scenes. Likewise, our team in the next heat, Ellie Busfield, Apollo Ferry, Holly Ross, and Daisy Aaron, impressed with their energy, dynamic scenes, and engaging characters. 

Unfortunately, both teams missed out on a place in the final with Cashmere and Papanui High Schools taking first place in each heat respectively. It was wonderful to see such a strong group of young talent coming through and they certainly have a very bright future in improvisational theatre ahead of them!
