Kia ora koutou! This week Te Kura o Hine Waiora celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori.

Whanau Committee —

Kiwaha posters, tikanga posters and language cards with kupu and phrases for staff were made and distributed around the kura.

We were also fortunate enough to receive video clips from inspirational figures in Te Ao Māori. We received some amazing whakaaro from journalists Miriama Kamo and Laura Tupou, sports players Kimiora Poi, Stacey Fluhler, Niall Williams, and Te Paea Selby-Rickit and musician Tipene Harmer.

Wednesday finished the celebrations off with a variety of performances, with the kapa haka, cantrices, a trio and a solo all showcasing their amazing talents.

With a full house in the PAC it was definitely a fun and successful event for all.
