Hanna Abdou (11JAA) recently competed in the South Island Swimming Championships 2022.

She achieved outstanding results, including six gold medals and a Canterbury record.

The following are some of her results:

Women 15-16, 1500m Freestyle: 

• Gold Medal Age Group, Gold Medal Opens, and Canterbury Record.

Women 15-16, 200m Freestyle:

•  Gold Medal Age Group and Gold Medal

Opens:

• Women 15-16, 100m Freestyle: Gold Medal Age Group and Gold Medal

Opens:

•  Women 15-16, 50m  Freestyle, 200m IM and 400IM: Silver Medals and PBs.

Also, during the school holidays, Hanna was selected for the NZ Age Group National Programme and Tri Series competition which was held in Christchurch at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre. It was a great experience to join the elite swimmers from all over NZ and on the final day she was selected as the best team player in her team.

After two weeks, Hanna will have a very busy week in Auckland: NZ National Short Course Championship. We shall look forward to hearing about Hannah’s experience in this competition.
