The CGHS athletics team of 21 went to Nelson for 29th , 30th and 31st of March to compete in the South Island Secondary Schools' event. The girls were very successful, with outstanding performances from everyone.
We gained six third places, five second places and seven first places in individual events.
- Paris Carroll won the U15 3000m
- Rosie Trotter won the U16 1500m
- Sophie Williamson won the U16 400m and long jump
- Courtney Hillyer won the open 2000 race walk
- Aria Carroll won the U19 100m
- Jaidyn Busch won the U19 shot put, with a record of 16.21m
- U15 team 4x100m came 5th
- U16 team 4x100m came 2nd
- U19 team 4x100m came 3rd
- U19 team 4x400 came 2nd
