Three of our top competitive swimmers travelled to Hamilton in late July to compete in the NZSS Swimming Championships.

The swimmers were:

•  Izzy Parmenter,
•  Charlotte Parmenter 
•  Holly Smith 

They had a great time representing Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora; they found it fantastic to get away to a meet of this calibre and to compete against the North Island schools and swimmers, which they are rarely able to do.  Some very pleasing results.

Charlotte Parmenter

• 1st 50 Freestyle
• 3rd 100m Freestyle
• 3rd 200m Freestyle 

Charlotte also finished in the top 8 of all her other races:  

• 4th 200m Backstroke
• 5th 100 Individual Medley
• 8th 100m Backstroke

Izzy Parmenter

• 3rd 100m Breaststroke
• 6th 200m Breaststroke

Holly Smith represented Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora, and swam well, but unfortunately didn't make a top age group final, but given the number of competitors in each event she still competed strongly.
